Been gone since Katrina, as well as the other places out there.

My favorite West End place growing up in the 60's in Metairie. I still remember the walls in the dining room having sinks so you could wash your hands while eating boiled seafood. The suckers and tourists went to Fitzgeralds, the Yats (although the term had not been born yet) went to Brunings. Al Hirt and Pete Fountain were regulars, eating, not playing, and no one would bother them.

my grandmother was born a urratta and her brother owned it till he died then my cousins took over. Lost touch with them and didnt know if they reopened thanks for updates

Best stuffed flounder of all-time. I miss Bruning's as much as any thing besides my pool.

I thought for sure that was the place I ate at two months ago.
