Which would you choose?

Yeah that's a tough call. You're talking about 2 of the top 10 restaurants in BR, IMHO.
If I had to choose between them though for a last meal I'd have to choose Ginos.

Man that's a tuff decision. Both very good. If you want something grilled Ruffino's. More authentic, Geno's.

BTW for everyone....the name is GIno's no GEno's.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Gino's: Great atmosphere, good food, smaller portions.
Ruffino's: Good atmosphere, good food, bigger portions.
I found the service at Gino's consistently better. Ruffino's isn't bad, but everytime we go, they always seem "shorthanded" with table service.

ruffinos will have servers and 1 busboy. they refuse to hire/pay back waiters which would make it more jubans/ginos like. that being said both are great, ginos has better italian food

Ruffino's, no question. Not as Italian though, a lot of Creole too.

Ask for Steve (tall thin white guy) He'll treat you right.
I'm partial to Ruffino's although I've had some good meals at Ginos. Lately though I've just been in the bar.
Speaking of bars, Ruffino's has a nice bar for just a cocktail or add an appetizer.

I Love the seafood cannelloni at Gino's, but Ruffino's always has an fun atmosphere like everyone is having a great time. Food is always great too - I've actually seen my wife drink the barbecue shrimp sauce. She'll tell you it was me, and she'd probably be correct too, but she knows what she did!!

Gino's by far IMO. I like more authentic southern Italian though.

Gino's is great, but Ruffino's veal has always drawn me there time after time.

Have y'all eaten at Eleven79 in NOLA? I've heard it's insanely good.

Going to Ruffino's tonight for the big 6 month anny, any suggestions on what's good? I've been once, but it was about 3 years ago.
