Best place to buy lamb in Baton Rouge

I was hoping the wisdom of the F&D Board could enlighten me on the best place to find lamb in BR. (Grilling cuts preferably, but any other cuts are welcome as well.)
I have picked up the petite lamb chops from Albertson's twice in the last six months and they were all right, but I was hoping somewhere else in town had a fresher and more reliable selection.
Thanks in advance for your help.

There used to be a local guy at the farmers market. Anybody know his name? He has a lamb farm.

Sam's stocks new zealand frenched rack of lamb and leg of lamb (great on the rotisserie if you've got one). Really good quality. The rack of lamb they sell is great on the grill.

As stated above, Sam's club is consistently good and relatively inexpensive. I'm assuming it was frozen previously (since it is from New Zealand) but it tastes fine to me.

My Jordanian neighbors get all their lamb at Sam's...and they eat it just about every day.

Last time I did lamb it was a shank and I got it from whole foods, but Sams is still probably your best bet

I have the contact info for the guy at the farmers market at home. If I remember I will post it once I get off of work at 430 today. He said he comes into town daily and you can meet him to pick it up. I havent order any from him yet so idk about quality.

I usually get mine from The Fresh Market over off bluebonnet....WEAK! I would suggest definitely going elsewhere... Whole Foods and The Fresh Market are extremely overpriced for meat that surely has been frozen... I haven't tried Sam's
