To be a great year for the Tigers, we will need:
1.) Better pass defense than last year
2.) Consistent QB play

The logic in the OP makes even me cringe.
I agree 1-2 losses may be optimistic, but definitely not outside of probability. JJ had a great game to end last year and if he can grow and play up to the potential we all know he has along with Scott, this offense could be dangerous. Not to mention Crowton having RS and Trindon for extra "trickeration."
The defense should be improved, and we do have some pretty good talent (think Nevis, PP, Alem). However, the schedule is brutal. I'm gonna go ahead and say 9-3.

Last year with worse games against SC,AU, and Troy we could have been 4-8. We are not a lot better. Better?? Probably, but not by much. I admit , if JJ has an All-Sec year, I could be eating humble crow. But I beat not. On D?? No first teamers on the SEC pre-season picks and a LB core that is very,very, very marginal. Cutrera has out best ILB ?? Scarey. Riley and Shep have talent, but looked average , at best against the run, and worse in coverage. 11-1, 10-2, 9-3... better think again.
