I don't understand all the predictions about LSU with 1 or 2 or even 3 losses this year??? Look at our team. On O we have an unprovened QB that has yet to face the Saturday SEC pressure cooker, an inexperienced O line ( other than Black, who even wasn't a world beater last year), one good WR ( Lafell) without any other established quality receiver, and an O coordinator who did not lit up the scoreboard with any great play calling. Dickson is good and All-Sec, but had some crucial drops last year. People spout that our TB unit is one of the best units in the nation, but we had few dominating games against quality defensives. Granted we got behind quickly in some games and had to throw the ball, but to say they are so great?? #32 is a load, but racked up most of his yards against weaker teams. #5 has potential, but people have been saying that for 3 years. He runs tentative and breaks few tackles. I think he will have a good year, but KW has shown the type of back that he is... just good. Nothing more. #26 has had great scrimmages, but nothing, nothing outstanding on the Sat girdiron. Murphy has not had big plays when he has been out there and we needed them. Our O is very shakey. Last year with worse games against SC,AU, and Troy we could have been 4-8. We are not a lot better. Better?? Probably, but not by much. I admit , if JJ has an All-Sec year, I could be eating humble crow. But I beat not. On D?? No first teamers on the SEC pre-season picks and a LB core that is very, very, very marginal. Cutrera has out best ILB ?? Scarey. Riley and Shep have talent, but looked average , at best against the run, and worse in coverage. 11-1, 10-2, 9-3... better think again.

we'll have a DEFENSE this year that won't be managed by two jokers.

you, my friend, are a fricking moron. No experience on the o-line? Black, Barksdale, and Hitt beg to differ. Lafell is probably the only "established" WR because he's the only one Lee saw most of the time last year. Its your fault if you couldn't see Chris Mitchell play well last year. Don't forget Richard Dickson. Then to dog the RBs? Especially Scott, who played well even with the box stacked with 8. Jefferson may be limited in experience, but he can move and throw on the run and has shown he can make smart decisions with the ball.

Oh jesus christ....so it begins. They're coming out of the woodwork early.

Look at our team

OK

quote:

Played vs. Arkansas. Had a true freshman game, but gained valuable experience. You don't think that means anything? Oh, what about starting against a team that was second in the ACC? A VERY good team.......forget about those things?

quote:

n inexperienced O line ( other than Black, who even wasn't a world beater last year),

Another idiot statement. Hitt could be a 2nd teamer SEC guard by the end of the year. lol @ not knowing who Joseph Barksdale is by now....

quote:

one good WR ( Lafell) without any other established quality receiver,

Yeah. Seems just about every team in the SEC has this problem. Who's behind Julio? Who's behind Green? You don't know, do you? Idiot.

quote:

and an O coordinator who did not lit up the scoreboard with any great play calling.

Freshman QB's. No? idiotic.

quote:

People spout that our TB unit is one of the best units in the nation, but we had few dominating games against quality defensives.

You're a insanely bright mathematician.

quote:

No first teamers on the SEC pre-season picks

This is relevant, why? Idiot.

quote:

... better think again.

You should probably do that before you post again.

This is key. Even if the offense just turns out to be average and only scores 20 points or so a game with not many of the pick sixes, I say we can win 9 games.

I think the most idiotic statment here is that Black "wasn't a world beater last year". How long has he gone without giving up a sack?! He is one of only three UNANIMOUS first team all SEC selections. The other two being Tebow and J. Jones. You my friend truly are an idiot

While 11-1 or 10-2 may be super optimistic, the logic to prove this was severely flawed.

Going through this guy's post history, he's continually sucks Ridlay off. No wonder all the RB's suck.

Great bullet point. BTW,without the ints vs Alabama and the meltdown vs Arkansas we could have been 9-3.

quote:

I admit , if JJ has an All-Sec year, I could be eating humble crow.

Regardless of the season JJ or LSU has ,its highly unlikely he would beat out Tim Tebow for All-SEC.

I'm sure if your bleak forecast proves incorrect,we'll never see you again-- at least under this moniker.

Now,go drink some Clorox.

you talk about maybe being 4-8 with losses to troy, tulane and Auburn but guess what, if you cut out Lee's 2 pick 6's and his INT that became a field goal against UGA, we win. If you cut out Lee's 2 pick 6's and 2 INT against Bama, we win.

So if you want to play the what if game, then we can go with that all day.

What we need to cut out is pick 6's and confussion at defense. I think that Jefferson will limit or eliminate the pick 6 problem and our new defensive staff will eliminate the confussion on defense.

Oh and by the way, that marginal running game that you speak of had alot to do with teams knowing that if they load the box and stop scott, they win! Because everyone knows Lee couldnt beat you in the air. So I think it is pretty damn good for scott to get as many yards as he did when teams loaded the box against him.

So with all due respect hitman for looking at the glass half empty this close to season.

Not to mention Bama has an unproven QB and only 1 proven WR, question marks on their oline and only one RB with expirience.
UGA has an unproven QB, RB and only 1 standout WR,
Arkansas has an unproven QB and weak defense

So that only leaves UF and Ole Miss with expirience at key positions. So I ask you Hitman, WTF makes Bama, UGA and Arkansas so much better than us that they get a pass on the same problems.
