The nicest restaurant I've come across in Auburn is Cheeburger Cheeburger. They do have a place call Mama Goldbergs right by campus, just a sandwich shop though.

I have actually found a pretty good, nicer spot there...its right off Toomer's Corner...I can;t think of the name for the life of me though.

The best restaurant there is the Olde Auburn Ale House, go there for dinner, really good meatloaf. mama goldbergs is great for lunch.

i was worried about the time we get there. might have to reconsider checking in hotel first. might just have to stop in montgomery on the way.

The best thing I had there, was the lemonade at Toomers Drugs.
I first watched the N.O. levees breech while enjoying one there.

bittersweet moment I am sure. On one hand, your city and your way of life is literally floating away; on the other hand, you got to spend extended time in auburn, Alabama.

I can tell you from vast experience, rural Alabama, north of I-10, is a gastronomic wasteland. If you go some place without a direct recommendation of someone you trust, you odds of being served pure crap is very high.

I can't remember the name of the hotel or the restaurant, but it's the Auburn-run hotel directly across from their old signature building. The restaurant has Italian fare and is really good.

One of my Bama friends tell me that they have a Hardee's and a gay bar.

I've been to the Johnny Carino's there. I could go into detail about exactly how horrible the food was and how incompetent our server was, but it makes my blood boil, and I'd rather not stroke out right now. So, just don't go there.

Johnny Carino's is closed now.
I would go to Amsterdam's near the campus.
