Jamarcus Russel because as I also bleed silver and black, I'll be dogone if he can't lead the Raiders out of the shite their in with the Team he's got in '09, there best be some good things coming from that rifle arm, and especially his head in a clinch.

Did you really just say Shaq isnt very talented when it comes to Basketball? LOL that is one of the most ridiculous things i have ever heard. Show me another person above 7 feet tall that was athletic as shaq in his younger years....... Do you want to go one on one in a game of hoops with the diesel?

That never happened. Sky came out after people misinterpreted what he said and clarified his statement and made it clear he'd always pull for LSU. He was simply saying that he liked Saban, and considering he was the guy who brought him to LSU I can understand that. I personally wouldn;t be sad if Nick Saban burst into flames, but he didn;t recruit me...

I wish people would ease up about the Skyler Green thing...or at least get it right.

On Practice Squad, Fighting To Get Back

I am keeping my spirits up and I am continuing to work hard now that I am on the practice squad. It's disappointing. It's tough to take. I still feel I can help this team on Sundays, but I'm caught in a numbers game right now.

I have no doubt that I can play and have success in this league. No doubt. I just have to keep fighting and working on everything so that when I get a chance again, I'm ready to contribute.

There are a lot of differences between the active roster and the practice squad. Obviously, the pay is a lot different. That is a big factor and one of the disappointments of being in this position. Every day in practice, I run the scout team and work in the opponents' offense to give our defense a good look at what to expect on Sunday.

I go out there and give it everything I have. I'm giving every bit of effort that I have, and I'm trying to make as many plays as I can to impress the coaches so they have confidence in me.

But it's different. I still have to know our offense, even though I don't get a chance to run it during practice. So I really have to know both our offense and the other team's offense.

It's a challenging situation. I'm going to get through it, though. I know it is going to work out for me in the end. I just have to keep fighting.

There is one thing I want to clear up, and that is my statement back when Alabama played LSU and I was asked about Coach Saban. I said that I hoped he had success, which is true. I played for him for three years, and I played for Coach Miles for one season. I have respect for both men.

The part that was left out was when I said that even though I hoped Coach Saban would have success, I also wanted LSU to play and win the National Championship once again. That part was left out. I'm upset that was left out, so I wanted to clarify my statement here

Good grief...

First ballot HOFer, named to the Top 50 players of all time in only his first few years in the league...but he's not that talented.

Awesome.

So who will Saban's former players root for Saturday?

The coach who nurtured them as they went through their college years, or the school for which they played.

"I think I'll go with my old coach. I love LSU, but I also love coach Saban," Green said.

No it isn't. He really believes that. And what is amazing is how many other people think that also. I guess Shaq putting his testicles on players like David Robinson's, Patrick Ewing's and Bill Lambier's chins when he was 21 years old doesn't count for much.
