OK...if I joined TAF today, how much would I have to donate over the next 3-5 years to get 2 season tickets (next to each other) that are not the last fregin row in the stadium...realistic estimate.

I know for a fact that $10,000 would not have gotten you a ticket last year. I think this year, TAF is up to around 1500--you would probably need 65 to 75 points around $25000 donation

Just give your $100 a year, and sometime in the future -- it may be ten years down the road -- you'll get your tickets from LSU.

If there's a year where you have an extra $5000 laying around that you're willing to part with, donate that for one year to pass up all the $100 donors.

You can buy very good scalped tix for much less than what you would shell out.

5K per year for five years would put you at the front of the line...but still way back for getting post game tickets.

wow...I sure am glad I joined TAF years ago. I've had my tickets long enough that I can remember a time I couldn't give 'em away.

I upgraded my tickets this year and my # was 1390 with 61.4 points. So you should probably shoot for somewhere around that.

Exactly right for lower bowl.

Lower Bowl pairs cut off around 1200 this year.....that is about 68 points....if you start at $0:

to get an immediate 70 points.....putting you around #1200.....

Donate:

$25,000 in Philan Donations: 50 Points
Bonus Points for $25k+: 17 Points
$100 to TAF Annual Mem Fund: 3 Points

So...$25,100 might get you a phone call for a couple pairs of tickets in the South Endzone for next season.

Unless you're willing to shell out $20,000 or more, you're better off trying to buy tickets on ebay. I gave $100 a year for several years and my ranking dropped each year. I have season tickets. I just wanted to upgrade. Obviously, I have given up. I now save the $100 to help buy post season tickets since the TAF gets most of those too.

Why are we calling this payoff a "donation"? It's a cut and dried purchase. If someone expects you to "donate" $25,000 and you expect something in return, it's a financial transaction, not some act of charity.

I live out of state and will continue to watch on ESPN and CBS. If I moved back to LA tomorrow, I still wouldn't give 25 large to the TAF unless it came with a few years of free college tuition for my kids.

25k will get you on a waiting list, the more you donate the "more important" you are in the pecking order. This donation might get you seats in the less desirable seats the TAF has control of however this is no guarantee. The LSU athletic dept still controls many good seats however these people never give up the tix because from a pricing stanpoint, they are a bargain compared to the TAF controlled seats.

If I was justing joining TAF, I'd give the minimum and buy tickets outside of LSU. Then I'd start to crank up the donations when a date for the SEZ upper deck is going to added

I'm a student and my parents don't have tickets. How do you get tickets outside of TAF? Does the LSU ticket office sell them or what?

They sell single game tickets to some games, usually the non-conference games, I am guessing these schools return tickets to LSU etc. Look on LSUsports.net under tickets or look here on ticket exchange
