Looking for 1 outfield ticket to tonight's game.
This is referred to as a sucker bet. Vegas never loses.
Can someone fark the scene where Rambo is gripping the mic and says to Murdoch, "Murdoch, I'm comin' for you!"? Obviously Goodell would be the cowardly Murdoch and Brees would play our hero, Rambrees! :)

Thanks!
How about a Hogan's Heroes Col. Klink/Godell fark with Peyton as Hogan and Vilma as Newkirk?
Thanks contraryman. I believe Hitler would be appropriate looking over Stalag Superdome.
Hmmmm... there sure are quite a few Dinardo losses in these lists. Not to mention the entire '98 season. To quote The Boat "The 98 team was the greatest 4-7 team in the history of college football."

Yet most of you morons still think Dinardo was a better coach than Curly. If these losses were so painful, doesn't that mean we were supposed to win, but either didn't or blew the game... or entire season?

You can buy very good scalped tix for much less than what you would shell out.

xiv- Goes a long way? Sure, Houston is much more important than the fans of LSU who pay the salaries of Skip and others. I can't wait for Houston to return the favor.

trstiger- No Houston is not top notch talent at all. But the only difference in ASU and a SWAC school is Divison 1 rather than 1-AA or whatever the hell they call it now. Talent level is the same. As far as selling the same number of tickets, you're exactly right. That's why Skip didn't care. I had much rather see us play Houston, Iowa St., Stanford, Baylor etc. At least they are mid level teams that peek some sort of interest.

That is where the Jedi mind tricks come from (someone on the inside). They use the dark side of the force. If you think about it, Skip's dome slightly resembles the Death Star.

Houston asked LSU to let them out with no cash penalty. Since it was only six months before the season, LSU agreed only if they could find an equal quality opponent....and we got Ark St. Not very equal but still a sell out so Skip was fine with that.

"This was not the team you were looking to play. The team you want to play is in the Sun Belt Conference."

Amen, brutha. But I don't ever remember them getting out of one game for a higher quality opponent. Usually it's to play some schlub team from whom they can get more money. I understand the money thing, but once they started winning and games became a guaranteed sellout, fans went directly to the bottom of the priority list.

This series was lip service to quiet people who were pissed about other games that were subbed out to more Sun Belt teams or La Tech. It was never going to happen. Just propaganda.
Just remember to vote. We can stop or curb some of this madness with the 2010 mid term elections. The speed at which we are becoming a socialist country and losing liberties is scary. Don't put anything past this administration.
Ditto! Skip always put the almighty dollar above anything else.
Seriously?!?!?! It's a freakin' fried chicken finger. How many chicken fingers have you eaten that are better than Canes? It's not a filet mignon. Dude.... please find something else to complain about like stale chips at a mexican restaurant..... idiots.
It doesn't even have to be a top tier team as far as I'm concerned. The SEC is brutally tough and I would like to see some mid level BCS teams like Northwestern, Stanford, Wake Forest etc. Hopefully something other than our Sun Belt Conference schedule will come about in the next few years. Since Skip is gone, maybe our new AD will schedule a couple of home and homes and not be preoccupied with money for home games.

I seriously think (and this is a very random example) that Skip would trade BCS Championships for money. i.e. If LSU were to somehow be able to make more money going 5-7 vs. 12-0 and winning a championship, I believe he would have chosen the 5-7 and the money. Before you guys lay into the improbability of this situation, yes, I know it's very unlikley that this would be possible. I'm just making a point as to Skip's priorities.

triplesauce-

You may have made one of the most intelligent posts I've seen on this board. That doesn't take much, but kudos to you!
I promised no more replies. But, gorilaballin, yes.... All-American in high school, couldn't kick the ball off in bounds in college, then kicks in the NFL. Hmmmmmm.... just one example of many. Thank you very much... H.I. has left this topic board.
