Grocery Stores - Where do you shop?

Just curious, I mostly shop the Walmart Neighborhood stores for the convenience and price. I do however, like Calandro's for meats and Whole Foods for produce and homemade breads.

Albertson's in Bossier City. I live closer to Brookshire's in Benton but their produce is often rotten. I shop European style. One bag every day, seven days a week.

Mostly at Rouses. They are Louisiana owned and do pretty good job of having good prices while still selling La products when possible to give the local guys a chance.
There is a place here called Dorignacs that I like also, been in business at this spot since the early 60's. Very good meet and some great wines and such. Store isles and such are kind of small and the place is like a nursing home sometimes.
Every now and then I hit Whole Foods just to gawk at the produce and seafood. Will buy a steak or some cheese and such from there for special occasions.
If I had a wal-mart that was close by, I would probably shop it sometimes if I could get in and out before 8:00am. Gots to get there before the nimrods get there.

Rouses's - are they only in the greater NOLA area? I haven't seen one anywhere else.

Not sure. They started in Houma from what I understand and have been expanding quite a bit. I know they have places in N.O., Metairie, and Slidell now.
Thank god they purchased the old Sav-a-Center's near us. They were garbage. Almost as bad as the Win-Dixie by me.
I went in a Publix in Orange Beach recently. First trip into one of those stores and I was blown away by how clean and organized that store was. The workers were super friendly. I thought the cashiers were going to start offering blow jobs.

Every time I go to Whole Foods it makes me wish I could afford to do all of my shopping there. That place like a toy store for foodies.

They have Rouses on the northshore also. I like that they support the local economy. Shop there whenever possible.

Albertson's Essen/Perkins or
Matherne's on Bluebonnet. They have Unbelievable Beer/wine Selections, and if they don't have it, they'll get it for you.
