What does women's basketball get?

What does it matter? Unfortunately people here will feel a need to defend college baseball to someone who is obviously a troll, not particularly a good one either.
The kids on the LSU team are working their butts off and are quite successful at their craft. Pleasing someone such as yourself is probably not high on their list of priorities.
I would suggest that you find something in your life to take pride in. Such negativity can only stem from an unsatisfactory life.

A 1.5 rating. Absolutely abysmal.

LSU baseball team's 7-6 victory against Texas in the College World Series on Monday set a New Orleans ratings record for ESPN, according to the network's public relations department.
The game had a 17.4 rating in the New Orleans market, beating the old local mark of 12.3 which was set during the Tulane vs. Nebraska game in 2001.
The game drew a 11.8 in Austin, Texas, the home of the University of Texas.
Nationally, the game drew a 1.5 rating, which is a little above the 1.3 norm the network gets this time of year.

Why don't you post quotes from the link you provided? Not that it's some major ratings juggernaut, but it is higher than normal.

No, I think that you are a little person who denigrates the accomplishments of others because you have none of your own to crow about.

Here you go, since you want a highlighted quote. Not impressive when baseball's national championship can't beat a re run of 90210.
"CBS wins the night, though, as 'I'm a Celeb' drags NBC down
Fast National ratings for Tuesday, June 23, 2009
Ratings for "America's Got Talent" fell compared to last year's debut, but the show still gave NBC some fairly solid numbers Tuesday.
They weren't solid enough, however, to win the night among total viewers. That honor went to CBS, which drew 9.06 million people and a 6.0 rating/10 share in households. NBC was close behind with a 5.5/10 and 8.96 million viewers. ABC was a distant third at 2.5/4. FOX finished fourth with a 2.3/4, and The CW trailed with a 0.8/1.
NBC did lead the adults 18-49 demographic with a 2.6 rating. CBS took second with a 1.6. ABC, 1.3, came in third, followed by FOX, 1.2, and The CW, 0.5.
CBS dominated at 8 o'clock as an "NCIS" rerun scored a 7.0/13. The premiere of "The Superstars" drew a 3.0/6 for ABC, edging the 2.9/5 for "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here" on NBC. A "House" repeat, 2.2/4, was fourth for FOX. The CW aired a "90210" repeat.
"America's Got Talent," 6.2/10, moved NBC into the lead at 9. "The Mentalist" earned a 5.9/10 for CBS. FOX moved up to third with "Mental," 2.4/4, while ABC dropped back one spot with "The Superstars" and "Better Off Ted." The CW got a 0.9/2 from "Hitched or Ditched."
"America's Got Talent" improved to 7.3/13 at 10 p.m. CBS' "48 Hours Mystery" scored a 4.9/9 to finish second, well ahead of "Primetime: Family Secrets" (2.4/4) on ABC."

Funny how he left out so much info.

Same poster that started this crap yesterday. But I bet those ratings are at worst 4th best of all the NCAA Championships. So in the grand scheme of things, baseball may be considered the #4 sport. Not too shabby.
Posted on 6/24/09 at 12:55 pm to BandwagonJumper
I crow about the football team. What's your point?

Posted on 6/24/09 at 12:56 pm to Dignan
So now to prove your point you compare a niche cable channel to network television?
Posted on 6/24/09 at 12:56 pm to los angeles tiger
Then he posts the rest of the ratings like people expect the CWS to compete with every TV network in the country.
Newsflash! Not everyone in the country is a sports fan. Figured I would mention that. I don't see why you would think otherwise.

I could care less. I watch what I enjoy. I don't know what the TV ratings for soccer or hockey are, because I don't give a crap about either of them.
