I don't think so...at least didn't hit his skin...the batter would have starting going to first if he was hit...Gibbs' glove deflected it.

you could argue that it may have grazed his shirt but it did not really hit him, it shot off of gibbs's mitt

It looked like it definitely hit his shirt. Gave the 'Horns a cheap run.

I'll have to re-watch it

particularly to watch the batter's face to see his reaction

This is correct...I didn't see the ball touch the batter or any part of his uniform.

yea, it hit the uni for sure. I thought that scenario was gonna cost us the game. But, nai nai, our Tigers are better than that.

That game was like 1000 times more emotional than the Rice and UC Irvine game from last year combined.

I rewinded the play in question and watched in very slow motion and without a doubt, it hit him.

yeah, it hit the glove...

To be honest, at first I thought how did it not hit him. But after the replay, I don't even think it hit the uni. I watched the slow motion vid from behind the plate, I didn't see his uni move at all. No ripples or waves in it as the ball passed by.

If it hit him, it would have made some sort of disturbance.

The Batter initially started to first and stopped because the umpire didn't call dead ball. Watch the replay. Hs even turns to the Texas Dugout and shrugs his shoulders.

I don't think it hit him. I thought it did live, but the replay seemed clear.

We won anyway, so I don't care anymore.
