So let me get this straight, the gamecast says we hit the crossbar twice, is that right? How many times did we come even close to scoring?

We can't compete. We don't have the talent, coaching, or heart to compete at this level. Inferior against the last two games in every aspect. We can sneak out wins against lowly central american teams but at this point with what we have to work with, we can't expect to compete at this level of international play.

We did hit the bar twice. We had several other decent opportunities and probably should have put one in the back of the net. Jozy made a really nice run but his final touch failed him once.

I don't know the statistics but I would guess international teams average 1 goal per 5 quality opportunities or so. We had some chances.

we had one or two more really good chances i.e. chances that we should have put away and will have to put away to compete with teams like this

Been a pleasure guys. A much needed respite from the Rant. Quality discourse on both sides of every "disagreement".

Geaux Tigers and USA. All we can do is hope we make marked improvement in the next year.

FAIL

I don't even like the whole FAIL thing, but what else can you say? STOP PLAYING BEASLEY. Until he actually proves something in a meaningless game, stop playing him in games that matter.

I just got back from work and haven't posted since about the 8th page...

Where do I start...

1) People need to stop saying we have no talent, because we have loads of athleticism and skill. You can debate it, but I just refuse that our young American players aren't talented. I think they're aren't being developed properly.

2) Bob Bradley is fricking terrible. Beasley...really??? What the hell made him think he would be even decent?

3) Who does Freddy Adu have to sleep with to see 10 minutes of garbage time? I honestly think he doesn't even come off the bench because Bradley is afraid he's gonna ball out of control and then he'd really be screwed

4) Landon Donovan is a very solid player, but as long as he's viewed as our "go-to-guy", we have no chance to go anywhere. I can't even recall the last shot he made that wasn't a penalty kick.

Even though the Egypt game means NOTHING, it's exciting to think about a HUGE lineup change and how they'll come out. If we have any heart or pride we'll come out with a little fire. And if Bradley has any brain Feilhaber and either Adu or Torres will start (even though i'm positive it'll be Clark again).

I think our young talent do...that's why on the international level at younger ages we compete and often beat the best of the best. I think our problem is developing them from that point forward. If Brazil's up and coming talent play and lose to our up and coming talent, what is the difference between when they are 19 and 25? They go places and play, we go and sit...our players don't progress.

Well let me clarify myself...

We don't have Ronaldo, Torres, Ronaldhino, etc. type talent. But we can certainly be just as competitive if not better on a consistent basis as England. I just blame everything on management and coaching.

They outplayed us as a team, tactically.

Bob Bradley sucks.

Several times I saw Deuce go 1v1 with a defender, only to flop like a rag doll on contact instead of bulling through and chasing the ball. I understand wanting to draw a foul, but that's frustrating as hell to watch.

Our shooting from distance sucks arse.

Jozy looks great in CONCACAF, and had a few nice touches yesterday, but the one opportunity he should have slotted home, he looked like Bambi on ice and fell on his arse instead.

Except for hitting the crossbar, Conor Casey sucked arse. No fricking hustle.

Beasley sucks arse.

Frustrating that we can't put our best out there and at least be competitive against the better teams.

Oh, and Klejstan sucks. Rant over.

I'm gonna go ahead and agree with literally everything you said.

Any reason Casey is on the team and not Cooper? I just think it's ridiculous we're losing 2-0 and our halftime sub is connor casey...really?
