thoughts? May be a tread but I missed it.

Think we play great but...

heart 2-1

head 1-2

It will probably be a repeat of USA v. Italy, once again, unless Brazil uses second tier players.

I say Brazil 2-0 with mostly secondary talent OR 4-1 with first line talent (U.S. gets a garbage/pk goal).

That's like saying a D1-AA school could beat Michig....um, OK, well, like saying Stanford could beat USC...

This comment doesn't make sense unless
1) You are calling for us to go down a man super early and tiring out
2) Brazil is better than Italy (I don't think they are)
USA played Italy down a man....we can play w/ Brazils first line up.

Brazil may be resting players, because they've been having sleep issues . A win will require absolutely no defensive mistakes from our midfield and back line. It is not terribly inconceivable to steal a goal or two versus the Brazilians. Just Monday, Egypt (a team about on our level) put four past a lazy Brazil defense.

Ball control is our biggest issue. In the first half against Italy we really brought the pain against them, holding onto the ball. Once we started to wear down, after the effects of being a man down kicked in, we gave away the ball. Then that gay communist traitor scored.

Yes it does. I've seen the U.S. play against top international teams.

The U.S. is still 20+ years from the knockout rounds of the WC.

if bob would make the right substitutions we would be fine. i think our defense can do a good enough job. just gonna take patience.

WTF? We were just there 2 world cups ago...and if they even think about showing up against Ghana then we are there last WC after we played 2 super shitty games.

and it doesn't make sense...cause the game was a TON closer than the score showed against Italy the other day..our players wore down because we played w/ 10 men majority of the game. W/ 11 no telling what happens. So no...it's almost impossible for it to play out the way it did agaisnt Italy...

2002 tells you kindly to GTFO!

It all depends on the draw. Hell Ecuador and Switzerland advanced to the knockout rounds in 2006

Whoa whoa whoa, if we don't get into a group of death next year then we will advance. The WC is not in Europe, we'll be fine.
