Ask yourself this: list QBs that have played in the SEC that you would consider worse than Jarret Lee (currently and whatever potential Jarret Lee has).

Given time, he is good enough to start at LSU. We haven't seen the last of this guy.

I think this is really hard to determine, since he really has had only one season to showcase what he has.

Last Year: (edit) He needed to rely on good defense.
This Year: Maybe, I will let Les make that call.

Absolutely

This would be a long list and would include several that will start in their team's first game of the year this year.

Well he's the only QB on LSU's roster w/ any SEC victories, 2 by comeback. Led the greatest 2nd half comeback in LSU history and had a winning record against SEC competition as a freshman.

So why would you ask this stupid question?

Yes...remember he was just a FRESHMAN!!! That being said, JJ is more than good enough and has great written all over him

Yes, he was the MVP for Alabama in the LSU-Alabama game.

Perhaps that will be true. I can't forecast the future.

However, basing this prediction on a loss to ARK (SEC weakest team last year) and a win over an ACC team that had a single dimensioned offense when your defense finally decided to play is a bit wreckless.

So is glossing over Lee's continued regression throughout the year.

He would need to be groomed into role. He has the physical tools.

How many RF without any starting snaps are good enough to start in the SEC?

Too many clueless geeks make the mistake of condeming him for playing before he was really ready.

Becoming a succesful SEC QB is a process that can take a couple of years, so get off of his back!

The Bama DB had to run pass everyone on the field to score--not just J.L.

Makes no difference unless JJ gets hurt. JJ is a stud and will not be beat out by JL in his career.

What about the dropped TD pass, the dropped pass for a 1st down, and the first INT was a bobble off reciever's chest.

I guess that's all J Lee's fault.

You people are pathetic and have a gang mentality. You get your jollies by jumping in to bash someone that has accomplished so much more in their athletic career than you could ever imagine. There is nothing more pathetic than mid 30's 9 to 5'ers piling on a college athelte. A college athlete who by the way chose LSU over a pile of other offers is the target of your misplaced anger. If you are one of the idiots that continue to pile on J. Lee or ANY OTHER TIGER for that matter, you might want to look in the mirror and see what's missing in your own life. On 2nd thought, you're probably better off in denial.

i think some people, due to the SEC's dominance in bowl games, and the talk of it being clearly the best conference have elevated it in their minds to damn near NFL status.

In any given year there might be 2 NFL type prospects playing the QB position in the SEC, and one will probably be a soph/freshman.

Good enough to play in the SEC =/= JRussell, or Matt Stafford.

JLee has clearly shown an ability to win games in the SEC, and be a pretty solid QB, with a ceiling that is still higher than what we got out of our two NC winning QBs IMO.
