I agree. The dynamic of having a hopelessly lost in the wild person along does make it more entertaining.

I give Ferrell, the Big Pair reward for trying that.

You can tell, he was dead tired and really freaked out a few times.

There is no way I would have backed over a freaking cliff with that twig contraption. Yes it worked, but I would never have believed Bear that that thing was going to hold the weight of two people.

I bet there are a lot of celebrities that would have flipped out at doing any of that so props to Ferrel for keeping his cool and actually being funny throughout the experience.

Agreed because we all know Bear can do it with no problem. You put a person that has no experience, and that makes for some great entertainment. It also helped that it was Will.

I hope not. This episode was enjoyable, but I don't think I could take another like it (at least for a while) (maybe a couple of these every season). Will was funny, but he made watching them incredibly boring. They went on a simple two day hike with one or two repels. Not to mention the fact that bringing along an inexperienced person like Will is a tremendous injury risk for Bear.

don't think the only thing holding them two, especially a big celebrity such as Will Ferrell, was two twigs in ice.

not once did they ever show the entire rope to prove that the two twigs were the only thing holding them on.

it was interesting though, i don't think he would have made it surviorman style, i don't know of many celebrities that could or would even attempt it with Les.

I can't believe he just hung from the ladder like that at the end. I would be alright with repelling down some of those clifs but to be that high up in the air, hanging onto a ladder from a helicopter would've freaked me the hell out.

It was very interesting just watching the 2 interact. Bear has a pretty good sense of humor and he played off of Ferrell well.

You never could tell with WF though, if he was all the way serious about some things he was saying. He's really a scary person in that sense.

I can think of 8-10 actors easy, that would make MvsW an awesome show each week.

I believe it actually helps the premise of a show. Sure Bear can survive, but can a "regular" guy survive. The point of the show is basically how to survive in a tough situation and having an inexperienced person along for the ride drives home the point.

Having Bear actually showing an inexperienced person how to survive makes the show more realistic IMO. That being said though they would have to scale back some of his excursions for safety reasons.

I think a half and half split (solo and with another person) would be real cool.
