i tasted some new flavors today. dont waste your money on the sweet potato pie. its weird/gross. GOLD BRICK is delicious, especially if you dig the easter candy. they have some cinnamon kind (cant remember the name) thats definitely going to require an acquired taste. i personally did not care for it. pralines and cream remains my favorite kleinpeter ice cream.

I tried the Ponchatoula strawberry flavor and found it to be bland. Needs to be much sweeter in order to taste like Ponchy berries.

They should stick to milk.

In fairness, I only tried it twice in it's first months last year, and wanted to support a local, but I found it to be rather awful.

Didn't like the overly HFCS taste, the texture was off, the cream ratio seemed off, and some flavors had little of say strawberries, praline pieces(not tasty),etc..

They have a bunch of work to do in trying get their ice cream anywhere close to the same level of their milk.

I got a bucket of vanilla on Sunday. There is something fundamentally wrong with their product. I can't put my finger on it.

Banana pudding and Banana's foster are in the works. They should be out soon according to one of their salesmen.

I saw it at Wal-Mart last week. Bananas Foster is my favorite by far.

Rumor has it that next week they are releasing their Christmas Egg Nog gflavor. I hate egg nog, but I'll bet my dad is all over that.

Walmart Neibhborhood Market on highland has a bunch of flavors for $3.99.

Flavors I saw: Cafe Au Lait, Blackberry Cobbler, Banana cream pie, Pistachio, and the usual favorites.

*Cafe Au Lait is pretty damn tasty! Still doesn't seem quite as smooth as bluebell though...

I picked up the Egg Nog flavor last night. It's pretty damn good. Possibly the best flavor of theirs so far. I like their banana pudding and Cafe Au Lait, but this one is better.

I totally agree with the group, their ice cream is "missing the lick" so to speak. Number one, it is not sweet enough. Number two, it is not creamy enough. Number three, it has too many ice crystals. Number four, it lacks the authenic flavor indicated in the name and settles for an artifical aftertaste in flavor. I know they worked with LSU dairy on the product but when it comes to ice crean LSU ain't Penn State. I really hope they fix it because I love to support the local brands.

imho the banana pudding is 10x better. there's not enough "stuff" in the foster, and the stuff that is in there doesnt have much flavor.
