Had he not gotten in trouble, he could be on the tail-end of an NFL career or retired sitting on a big pile of cash, watching all however many kids he has now. Smoking blunts, playing pick up games, drinking 40's,etc.

yea, and collins actually committed real crimes
perrilloux was just dumb and immature
No way to know this, but I'd bet Cecil is a better person than RP.

Sort of like Lennie from Of Mice and Men.

not sure how to define this, but I'm pretty convinced Cecil has some sort of mental issue...the stuff he did was far more whacked compared to RP.

Simply amazing. Its unbelieveable how talented the guy was. Best combination of power, speed, vision and size I've ever seen.

Faneca was sure mashing people in that Cecil highlight video. I kept wondering why there was so much room to run and then saw big 66.

I was about to post that, no doubt he was good but you have to consider LSU's O line was beastly in 97.

LSU did have a great O line, but every great running back does. They don't get to be great by running behind scrubs.

I'm going to have to agree with LSUandSaints... Alley Broussard was a monster, reminded me so much of Deuce... Faulk was the best all around back, but Alley was the best Runner of them all.

Carl I know a few people in Leesville that would take you up on that bet.

If that's true then you should do yourself a favor and get your hands on some Bo Jackson highlights. You will probably revise that statement.

Jimmy Johnson drafted him and by the end of pre-season that year the Dolphins cut or traded away all of their returning running backs and made him the starter ahead of highly touted back from Miss. State. ( Johnson ). All of this AFTER receiving a "get out of jail free" card to make it all possible. He hadn't played a down of football in a year. So, I'd say that he was probably one of the top 3 to ever play at LSU. (talent-wise) Having said all of that, I hope we NEVER recruit another talented THUG. I do however, credit him for making Kevin Faulk a better back.

If you want to see his best performance, get you hands on the 1997 Auburn game. He ran all over them for 231 yards. We lost that game at the end. He was unbelievable. You can buy LSU games on dvd from a guy that goes by ole mac. You can probably google that name with "LSU" and find him.

<---This guy...
His problem came from all the attention. He was a good guy, but got the untouchable attitude because he was a God at Leesville High.
That shite didn't fly in BR, LC, or Miami.
FWIW, he should be getting out soon... last I heard he intended to try out for some teams.

Man, I still can't believe we lost that Auburn game...

Cecil was running wild and on 3rd and 3 (or whatever it was) we throw the ball?
Give it to Cecil and we probably win the game.

Most talented we've ever had IMO.
