around here anyway. I'll ask a question. Are there any chains you'd actually like to see come to Baton Rouge?

I can think of a couple

1. Sammy's Woodfired Pizza - Quite possibly the best pizza place of all time and I'd love to but a bullet in the first fig that mentions Johnny's Pizza

2. Panera Bread - Decent for lunch

3. Dijon Chicken - Quick counter service place with decent food

4. Papassito's - Not authentic Mexican but it's better than any of the Tex Mex joints in town by a wide margin IMO

5. Curry House - Who the frick wouldn't want Japanese Curry at their convenience? Ignorant assholes. That's who.

I think a Taco Cabana by campus would end up being the highest grossing unit in that company's history. But would also end up being a prime spot for a DUI.

I would think that the 2 Cane's locations near campus would be hot spots

I have seen mostly br people assert that lately.

You should keep your flaming relegated to the polo board.

Pappasito's used to be decent, but like the rest of the Pappa's family of restaurants(except for Pappa Bros), their quality of food has gone way, way down while prices keep going up.

They have pretty good salsa though.

Houston's. Is the best chain I have ever eaten at. No franchised, all company owned. If they opened in BR or the Northshore they would hit a fricking homerun.

You are very correct sir. Taco Cabana is cheap authentic tex-mex with margaritas and the best damn homemade flour tortillas. I love the queso. Often...and this is a college girls and guys favorite...will buy 6 tortillas for about 1 dollar and the 8 oz. queso for another dollar or so, and eat that.

MMMMM.....and chicken fajita tacos

houstons has Its moments...I find it too expensive for what you get but I agree it would be a huge hit in br or the northshore.

Two Peso's--like a Taco Bell but better. (Do they still have them in TX?)

Red Robin & Boston Market--just because I'm sick of seeing the commercials w/out being able to try their food.

On another note, when I was in college I really wanted BR to have an Olive Garden. Odd thing is I haven't been there once since they opened here.
