False this year...he'll primarily be a read-option QB this year. Next year, we'll see how well Lee and JJ and Garrett develop.

One thing is for sure, we cannot afford to have Shepard just be a backup QB or a 15 down-per-game read option QB. He is one of the most talented runners in all of football and it would be stupid to waste him with 15 snaps a game even if we think he can play QB.

If anything they will use him maybe like Florida used Perry Harvin.

False,

Will either be redshirted or slot man until JJ or JL loses starting QB job due to bad performance or graduation. Then he will be starting QB. It probally won't be for a few years though hence the redshirt or slot option.

True. Anybody with any common sense knows this to be true. If you have watched Russell Shepherd you see a great athlete that could get away with just being a great athlete playing quarterback. But that wont be enough for the SEC. I hope LSU lines Shep at QB every down when they play Florida, because then I know it will be easier for to get a victory.

Shepard came to LSU instead of Texas because Les told him he would play quarterback. Les is no damn liar when it comes to recruits.

Les told himn he would have the opportunity to play QB. That is what Shep said. If he doesn't pan out at QB, and doesn't want to make the switch to WR. . .well I hope he gets his degree.

RS also said he would play where team needed him most...wonder who decides that ??? RS or LM?

I dont see RS being a 2-3 yr starter at qb. JMHO.

I think that if RS sees that he doesn't measure up at QB, he will accept a change.

I have seen him play. He is elusive. I think he will line up at quarterback in addition to other positions depending on the situation.

false. he will be the starting qb at lsu before he graduates. he'll play wr/rb sporadically just to get his speed on the field. he has all the skills to play qb, he just has to develop some.

if the system were built specifically for him and he had the players around him, I don't think he'd be any less effective than Tebow...
