the most success Crowton has ever had with a QB(statistically) was with Tim Rattay, who was a complete statue. I don't know how this "Crowton only likes a dual-threat" myth got started--but that's all it is--a myth.
i think dennis dixon's success at oregon started that myth, which is kind of funny because that was crowton's first real dual threat system and dixon and their offense didn't really blow up until after crowton left

Shepard will be primarily a punt returner.

He should also be holding snapps for the kicking team.

Your too worried with being a dickhead rather than trying to understand what I was saying. So I will break it down for you. Normally with these superstars you worry about finding a spot for them to fit in where they will be happy. This isn't the case with RS because he has said a number of times that he just wants to help the team. It doesn't matter where he plays. Does this make any sense as to why I am not worried about any of that.
This is your problem. You are listening too much to what an 18 year-old says.
Pay attention to what people do, Ponchy, not to what they say. RS passed up his favorite team (University of Texas) because they wanted him as an "athlete", whereas LSU wanted him as a QB.
Of course he's going to say to the media that "he just wants to fit in"...to "help out"...and all of the other cliche BS that they teach him to tell the media. What's he going to do, pull a RP and say that he's going to QB the team to a national title on his way to the Heisman in his freshman year?
If he just wants to "fit in", then why did he pass up going to his favorite school over their insistence on using hin as an "athlete"?
He's a QB, Ponchy.
I know...that's all good and well but it doesn't concern you, for as you said earlier, you are not concerned with logic and facts.

I believe if Shep redshirts, he could probably develop into a pretty successful college quarterback because of his athletic ability. However, it will be far better for his future professional career and LSU if he decides to become a Percy Harvin type of all around versatile offensive player. I don’t see Shep playing quarterback in the pros because he doesn’t possess an NFL arm although he possesses tons of athleticism. Thus, it would be better for him to become that all around versatile player. It could cost him millions of dollars if he stays at the quarterback position.

Where did you get that from? I think dude is saying that he wants to "play." And he might have to move from QB to do that significantly.

do you honestly think he can be an NFL QB? If moving to WR winds up being in his own and LSU's best interest, he'd be pretty stupid to not want to move.

I hate to be the one to break this to you, but if you think that coaches (Les Miles included)wont tell recruits anything they want to hear to get them to come to their school then......
RS will end up where he can most benefit the team and LM will decided that, not RS... Qb or Rb or receiver or water boy.
I hate this term but... BOOK IT.

Surely this has been discussed to death, but I am just getting back from vacation. . . and I love rubbing my awesomeness in people's faces.

Coach will utilize his talents and skills to benefit the Tigers. He is just a gifted athlete.

He will break all of Tebow's rushings records at QB!

Being the tigers are shallow at center, that is always an option.

Why did it take you so long to see the light?
LSU may have been the only quality team giving him an option at QB. RS knows this. He'll spend his yrs at LSU as an athlete.

i'm not sure why you bumped the thread other than to be a douche. Nothing will be proven yet until he graduates from LSU
