With the way recruiting is these days you can’t give up all that time.
If we want to be any good we can’t go deeper than about 3-4 games in Omaha. It’s hard not be selfish in the moment but if we want to build a dynasty that is how you do it.

Of all the excuses I’ve heard, this one really has me puzzled. If this is the case someone that is as smart as Jay, should have something or someone in place to mitigate any recruiting deficits incurred while competed for the National Championship! This is NOT an acceptable justification for someone that gets paid 7 figures to manage an organization!

How many players returned from last seasons team for them? UCLA was in Omaha and is the best team in the country because just about everyone returned.
Arkansas is struggling too. Why? Because they lost a ton of production.

Our starting pitching Evans cooper Moore gets hurt or significantly underperforms expectation. Bullpen does not develop… several key defensive lapses The margin for error or underperformance in the SEC is very very small. Not making excuses. Just reality JJ and fans like me have to rationalize.
