I am a BIG fan of the Wade hire. But this is a reasonable concern, or at least question, at this point in the offseason.

As things currently sit, LSU has to sign 12 more players to its roster and 90% of the top 100 transfers are currently listed as committed to other teams. Even if you expand that out to the top 150 that number is around 85%. Those numbers are basically the same if you look at HS recruits. Roughly 90%+ have already signed/committed to other programs. The point is the pool of really good available players seems to be pretty small at this point and the deadline to enter the portal has closed.

Now, there is nothing in Wade's past history to suggest he won't be able to put together a solid roster. So he gets the benefit of the doubt there. But unless he is taking an approach much of the rest of CBB doesn't seem to be taking (i.e. waiting until much deeper in the calendar to sign players OR having players already committed but not allowing that to leak in any way possible) there is merit to asking what is going on?
