several ambulances, fire trucks and numerous other "help" for 2 kayakers? Even had to launche a rescue boat.
How the heck do you get stuck in a Kayak in Amite River and need "rescuing"
ST. GEORGE, La. (WAFB) - First responders rescued two people after they got stranded in a waterway in St. George.
The rescue happened on Horseshoe Drive near Hoo Shoo Too Road late Saturday night, April 18.
According to the St. George Fire Department, the two stranded people were kayaking and got stuck.
At one point, Horseshoe Drive at Hoo Shoo Too Road was blocked off. The area has since reopened to drivers.

Like trapped under a treetop or logjam from current? I’m confused too.

More than likely got pinned next to a laydown.

Were they up a creek without a paddle?
I imagine that wind was sporty, especially heading back north, but damn anyone could have helped them get back to their car. Did they not flag anyone down?

I'd assume that they stopped and either the kayaks or the paddles floated off.

If they were by hoo shoo too, theres not much boat traffic that way, especially if they were north of hoo shoo too rd any.
We use to put in at the hoo shoo too boat lauch often and run down river to all the bars, never up river.
