I dont think hes given up.Disappointed and aggravated for sure. Recruiting in the NIL era has changed sports. Hes missed on a few guys and you dont have guys that want to play for LSU because they love LSU like we had before. Now they come to LSU for a paycheck and roll out.
Its tough to build a team and have chemistry with guys who play here a year maybe two let alone develop a guy for 3-4 years. All that said Jay Johnson is a top coach in college baseball period. Im glad to have him. There will be down years. Lets see how we respond to it

I don't think he's given up at all. I do think he doesn't know his arms and makes some bad pitching decisions.
