Does anyone know how much NIL money is available for baseball?

My God. I am so tired of this subject

LSU has a strong NIL but jay’s complaint has been about revenue sharing, which is about to be improved.

That isn’t an excuse for being herpes

Plenty. But you’ll have a bunch of people who don’t give a cent in here shortly to tell you differently.

I simply asked if anyone knows the number?

Is it $1M, $2M?

The revenue sharing, while not completely insignificant, is only a small piece of the pie.

The ONLY significant number is TOTAL $$$ for ROSTER which is Revenue Share plus NIL.

Only State has a higher Roster Total than LSU does (for 25-26).

But I completely support giving baseball the increase in Revenue Share they are getting AND the increase in NIL they are supposedly getting.

Rev share will go to 5% next year which is about $1 million. We don't know the exact number but the increase isn't all that much.

This team doesn't suck because lack of rev share. Johnson missed on just about everyone he picked and this is the result. A few hundred thousand extra wasn't going to make this team a contender. You don't go from missing the tournament to competing to win it all with a little extra money.

This has been a failure of identifying players and coaching them up

Has he said that publicly or are you just guessing?

I believe I’ve seen $4 million thrown around but I have no clue how accurate that is

No, no one outside of the program knows the real number of NIL deals. Sometimes there are leaks and good estimates, especially in football. But what every player is getting paid is not public information.

I have no idea how NIL contracts work, but if a non-profit were setup and collected $$ for baseball, could it be turned over to baseball to be used?

Yes, transfer portal funds went heavy to basically a conduit to fast food and a sofa couch for the former starting 1st baseman.
