Jay can’t threaten to take a MLB job anymore because none of those teams will think about giving him a call after this season

Of course not. JJ looks great when he has Skenes/Crews or 2 top 50 pitchers in MLB like last year. If we do not have a serious talent advantage we get drilled.
Even this year equal or less talented teams (ULL, McNeese, Bethune Cookman) make beating LSU look like taking candy from a baby.

Look at Aggie hitters compared to ours. They look like athletes. Half our lineup looks like rec league players. Something is off with the type of guys he brought in this year.

My confidence in JJ is shaken. The elite coaches do not have down years like this. Skip never did. JJ needs to hear it from pissed Tiger Fans on his call in show Monday.

If next year is another failure of this degree, his arse is gonna get hot real quick.

LSU Baseball should never miss the tourney. No matter the circumstances. But that’s the trajectory we’re on right now

Agree, what weee seeing now is inexcusable. I’m ready to move on if we get a repeat performance.

let me guess, youre from "down the bayou" and sound like a regular on swamp people ?

And people said lookout for A&M, but their coach is doing well now.
Texas hired their coach recently. Where else would he leave LSU for?

I am impressed what he did in year 1 without a legit starter. I am also impressed how the 24' team finished given all they lost. The 25 team won it all.
I am so tired of seeing some fans knock CJJ, because of Skenes/Crews. Again, his first season winning like 17 SEC games given the pitching he was left is still maybe the most impressive to me.
We've been through this before. Hopefully they eventually finish strong and get back to being elite next season.

By my count we will be returning 4 guys with significant SEC at bats next season. (Serna, Arrambide, Braun, and Pearson). Assuming they all improve, replacing more than 50% of your offense seems like a tough ask.

During skips run we finished 5th in the sec and didn't make it out of a regional and that was when there was very few colleges investing in baseball.
You dont know what you are talking about.

Bertman went for studs.
I would have figured Jay might have heard about that nice plug on day one.
We currently have a couple guys on the Team that I’d bet money that they have been champions of HotDog eating contests.

This is absolutely the most moronic take that I have seen repeated on this board. You are good at producing them.

Most of these takes are moronic. The guy just won a national championship. God we have some dumb shite fans.

Man some of you guys are just idiots.
Jay is still a great coach. You don't win 2 championships in college baseball by not being a great coach.
We don't know what happened behind the scenes with the guys who left and him having to bring in portal players. Perhaps he knew this was coming, which is why he was so outspoken about financing.
It's just foolish to think he lucked into 2 titles because of a talent advantage. Look at the teams we beat in 23 to win it all. Look at the development of players that have come through this program. You don't get that by being a bad or even a decent coach. That comes from a coach being great.

Isn’t that your moronic answer for everything?

This is 100% correct, LSU helped turn college baseball around. Also back in the 90's LSU was juicing and steroids were rampant. Not saying Skip was behind this but surely, he knew.

ready to move on as in firing Jay?
In situations like this the AD and executive staff will look at the entire body of work and no one will even consider the opinions like you have
