When's the last time LSU didn't have a true Friday night pitcher?

Who was our Ace in 24? Did we have one?

Evans pitched a good game, his coach just left him in way too long.

To your point though, I think he's one year away from being a true Friday night guy. He probably should've been Saturday this year.

We had Luke Holman and Gage Jump in 24, 2 very good pitchers.

Over and under on how many hitters Lochenwhatever faces before he hits a batter?

Yeah I don't think Evans is any worse than Jump or Holman in 24.

He was just left out there too long tonight but did really well until then. Especially considering the lineup we're up against.

Go look at their stats and rethink your thought.

That's kind of retarded to say with Schmidt

Hollman and Jump were both Friday night level starters. Jump is one of the top pitching prospects in minor league baseball currently

Casen Evans has already given up more earned runs than Holman did the entire 2024 season.

Then why isn't he starting on Friday? What do they possibly have to lose at this point? Let him prove it

Good news is LSU will probably have 2 next year in Schmidt and Evans. Moore's injury is definitely not helping this team right now. That's a pretty big injury people are forgetting. He was pretty stable as the day 2 guy and Schmidt at day 3 was kinda unfair.

Holman I'll concede but Jump had roughly the same season Evans is having right now halfway through SEC play and then had a good back half of the year that we all remember him for more than his early struggles. He had some good games, some bad games, It was around this point in the season he made it past the 6th inning for the first time.
