Looks like Kelly is going to have a job as a football analyst on CBS Sports Network. I realize his salary wouldn't be astronomical regardless but would a non-coaching job related to football draw down the money a bit owed to him by LSU?

Perfect gig for him: few hours of light work a week, golf/vacations uninterrupted, and the only real responsibility is to blow hot air for the camera.

Why would any network want a catastrophic failure of a head coach as an analyst on any subject?

He’s kind of perfect for the Wisconsin job if Fickell can’t turn it around.

any income he makes will offset the buyout no matter how small
my guess is this tv role will be all season before he finds an opening somewhere

Seems like no change from his time at LSU.

And he can drink a little b4 and no one will care as long as he's not slurring or belligerent

What is to prevent the network from paying him a dollar a month?

Along as they pay him 6mm a year I’m really fine with it.

I say this as a non-super-donor.
Quick shout out to the super donors for making shite happen though. Yall are pretty badass.

I wish him all the best. I saw him talking football yesterday. He has to get his mannerisms down for tv but he should do fine.

He has to make fair market value, this has already happened in the past and been challenged in court.

Herm Edwards?
Steve Mariucci?

Brian Kelly is perfect for this role.
No one doubts his ability to talk a good game. He excelled at that.
