Not trolling, but I liked what I saw from Houston in that throwing video a few weeks back. And I know Haven has all the physical tools. So I’m good either way, but figured I’d get both perspectives if possible without it turning into a pissing contest. Thanks!

Houston - people have been saying he’s the better QB for years now

LSU brought in a new staff and that new staff didn’t flinch with Houston being the qb in this class. That’s good enough for me

Seen Haven play several times in person and I’ve commented about him before. His throwing motion isn’t great, he throws his slants and tunnel screens with very little on them and I’ve always wondered if his receivers can’t catch but then again, one was a fairly big recruit. Seems like he’s very highly rated because of his size and decent running ability. Never seen Houston play in person but his film is really impressive.

Not in the know but I'll give it a shot.

Better passer, Houston.

Better raw tools, Haven.

More college ready, Houston

Higher ceiling, Haven.

No one can KNOW. Houston is better today. Haven has more upside. Think Anthony Richardson with all the measurables but just not a great passer. He's obviously extremely young so he has plenty of time to get better. Impossible to say who will have the better career

Haven has nfl mvp ceiling with gets moved to WR floor

Houston’s floor is insanely high, his ceiling is a little more sketchy. I think he can be a high draft pick

I am nobody, and I obviously love Houston is going to LSU…but I have told friends and anyone who would listen for a couple of years that Haven’s throwing mechanics are horrific. Just look at the elite 11 camp both he and Houston went to. I’m sorry, but there are throws where you go “that looks unnatural”. He will have to completely change his throwing motion getting to college.

Absolutely can happen, but how willing is he to sit while it happens and who is changing the motion etc. I want Houston

I don't really know if that question is answerable without narrowing it down a little bit.

I dont really think anybody can answer who is the better all QB just yet.

I am your first up vote because I want both of them and know we can’t have both. So it’s still a good question.

Nuss looked great against air every year but he was still a sub 30% deep ball thrower.

Apparently that's the motion he's been training on (saw it mentioned that he uses the same QB trainer as Arch Manning). The lower arm slot is supposed to allow a faster release. Still looks ugly and prone to accuracy issues.

The Film Guy Network dude has Houston as the best high school QB in one of his videos, with Haven much lower rated. He’s pretty high on Houston.

This is about right.

Also if Houston was at least 6'-0" he's a 5*.

Houston is better now. Haven likely has a higher ceiling and therefore the potential to be a better NFL QB.

Personally I don’t care who has the better NFL career. I want the guy who can bring LSU another Natty. Lane seems to think that Houston fits his system better so that’s good enough for me.

No kidding. The kid is more likely to be a bust then even make the NFL.
