The boys on Peleliu were eating cold meals with bugs in them (if they got to eat at all) and drank water that was tinged with gasoline (if they got to drink at all).
They would’ve killed for a hot meal and unlimited water/drinks like the current military is getting for EVERY meal.
Our generation is so spoiled.
