That damn GLP-1 look is usually 10x worse than the fat look. I don't understand why people are addicted to it. I know one person who has used them and doesn’t have that look, but most have that shriveled up face look.

Google says 70lbs through diet alone. That's alot seemingly too quickly for diet alone.

The problem is they lose tons of muscle in addition to fat unless they work very hard to prevent it.

Keto/carnivore can do amazing things when paired with exercise/working out.

And it sucks your brain out too, everyone I know that’s been on it for a long time seems extraordinarily dumber some how.

I think it is related to most people on it don't focus on their nutritional intake but just rely on the less hunger to lose weight. Several people I know on it seem to have "brain fog" that can be cleared up by making sure they get sufficient high quality protein.

Lost 85 lbs that way. Not sure how long Blair has been losing. Took me 10 months.

It’s mental for a lot of them. My wife bless her soul lost 75 lbs. All they think is I want to lose as much weight as they can because in their eyes they don’t want to be fat. She passed away a couple of years ago but it had nothing to do with her medicine. She was actually using it because she was a type 2 diabetic

I’m not on it, never have been on it. Always been thin.

But for all the people shitting on it, is it not objectively better than being obese?

I won’t shite on it, but the speed with which it became ubiquitous would give me enormous pause before taking it or watching close family do so.

There is zero chance we know or understand the mid and long term effects of them at this point.

Maybe it is, maybe it isn't but it does not address the root cause of the problem directly. People that refuse to learn and change their diet and exercise will just gain the weight back as soon as they stop taking it. Also, as I posted above for most that take it, they lose muscle mass, so their body composition doesn't necessarily improve as much as people think. The lean muscle loss can leave you in a worse metabolic state in the long run.

Shortcuts usually have drawbacks and there are some already known and I'm sure more to come. Eating crap food and taking a shot to lose weight is not a sustainable model to get healthy, there has to be changes in addition to the shot. Most people don't see the shot as a temp solution to get the ball rolling; it will end up being a long-term crutch with consequences. But who cares the pharma industry will make $$$.
