Trump on Pope Leo's comments:

"The Pope can say what he wants, and I want him to say what he wants. But I can disagree."

"I think that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. If they do, the whole world would be in jeopardy. The Middle East will be blown up and the whole world will be in jeopardy. We're very close to making a deal. That'll be a great thing."

"The Pope has to understand Iran has killed more than 42,000 people over the last few months. Think of it. Protesters without guns, without anything. They were totally unarmed protesters. The Pope has to understand that."

"This is the real world. It's a nasty world. But as far as the Pope and saying what he wants, he can do that."

The President is correct. this is a 99% / !% issue. With the !% being Iran, their terror groups, some Chinese leadership, the Soros family ... and a few morally corrupt individuals in the US.

If he would have just said that at the beginning than most Catholics would have shrugged their shoulders and moved on. But instead he attacked him

It has been interesting watching the heads of two religions face off publicly.

Do you view the Pope as unreproachable?

This is the correct approach. Civil, respectful, and made his case on the merits of the issue.

Leo to his credit didn't call anyone out by name when he condemned war. What he could have done better: Point out that what he said was perfectly in line with Trump's entire political career for the first 10 years. Trump used "warmonger" as an insult. Then it comes across as "Dude, you had it right the first time".

Trump's mistake was the wall of text rant.

The last few statements were perfectly reasonable and simply laid out the case for why Leo has it wrong.

Very good statement. Respectful. Appropriate.

Even if I had severe TDS, Trump's comments are spot on. He did very well in this clip

It was not a mistake. The reason he does the wall of rants is because it's the only way that mainstream media will cover anything he does

If he did boring cookie cutter posts, they would never cover anything he does

If Trump would just skip the rage baiting comments and go straight to the more polished comments, my life would be easier..

Attacked? Settle down.

Good Catholics expect the Pope to say Pope things.

The Pope reigns over one of the 2 most dominant theocracies in the world. So he says theocratic stuff.

Good Catholics understand that, no?
