A new CBS poll found that 58% of weekly Mass-attending Catholics approve of President Trump’s job performance overall. Not surprising, as these are the Catholics taking the faith seriously rather than just bearing the title. Catholics understand that President Trump is by and large getting the policy right.

Now show me the age demographics of that poll
Also, that poll was taken April 8-10, before the Trump-Pope spat started.

True Catholics understand Trump is right.
The pope is fake. Trump is exposing him for the false prophet he really is.

Might want to revisit this at a later time. The date range on that poll is the 8th-10th. A few things happened after this poll was taken

Catholics for Trump recognize how political the papal office has been during the last two popes’ pontificates.

Won’t change the results much. If anything, Trump probably gained support.

You know, the ones that pay the bills for the whole freaking Church.

I’m both but they both need to retreat and let this die.. no good comes from any of this. Trump made a mistake while also retorting with some truths.. the church would be wise to turn the other cheek and move on otherwise risk the momentum within to fade. The church gains nothing but anger from this and doesn’t hold the moral high ground they think they possess
As a BR Catholic, I’m also tired of my priest and bishop continuing to push this division. Move on

Approval of Trump is not a religious thing, for the most part. It's a geographic thing. Boston is heavily Catholic, and overwhelmingly liberal. Meanwhile, Louisiana is also very Catholic and overwhelmingly conservative.
Anyone trying to paint any one sect of Christianity against the other in the name of politics is the same douchebag lefties that constantly try to pit Americans against each other.

Interesting to me that the pope and his bishops are attacking Trump for the Iran war, yet have you heard him say anything about islamist attacking and killing thousands of Christians in Nigeria?

It's a division tactic. Same card the Dems have been playing since Obama.
They are using the willing clergy now.

People used to say that when John F. Kennedy was elected some were concerned that the ideas and ideals of the papalcy would be in the White House.
Now you have a President that is going 180 from what the Pope says and people are siding with the Pope.

This is how people learn that someone is stupid.

What echo chamber do live in?
20% of US Population is Catholics. That means 80% don't give a shite what he says.
To me he is on a par with the current equivalents of Jimmy Swaggert and Jessie Jackson.
The only difference between them is they grifted for money while he grifts for the throne and the lodgings and the wardrobe.

Do you expect the Pope to keep his mouth shut because it is Trump....and Trump is the greatest thing since Christ himself? Should the Pope be quiet? So now all the "good" Catholics want the Church to bend a knee to Caesar?
