****Obviously there will be lots of spoilers so if you have not seen this series, you dont want to continue on with this thread****

If you have not watched it. You need to do so.

I think this show has one of the best written and executed endings of any show. The series is short. They did not drag it out and there was not a lot of fluff. Action packed and to the point

I cant say I was super excited about the last season with the "serial killer" plot but it worked. Hood not being sheriff was a great line as he was bound to burn out at some point and the ending at the military camp and Job getting taken was a great time to do it.

Him delivering the killer to Proctor was a great hidden gem. He had asked him to do that. I don't think any of us actually expected Burton to be the guy. I didn't like Proctor going out at the end all Tony, Montana style but I think he had to go out. He had just done too much bad to live on. Carrie was my one dislikes of the ending. She really had nothing after her Hood left. I kind of thought she might go with him. I guess the two kids and possibly some peace and quiet would be her ending but she had already proven that she could not live that life anymore with her vigilante lifestyle.

Job and Hood possibly hooking back up in New York was a great hanger. They certainly lead us to believe that was what was going to happen.

Sugars monolog at the end of on point. He was my favorite character on the show. Love how he executed that part.

"Today , there is only one thing left to ask yourself, What are you going to do NOW".

Fantastic ending and so well written. I didnt think I would like Eliza Dushku playing a FBI agent but she killed that part. Even her scrawny arse was sexy on that show.

This show had a high body count when it came to main actors and parts. They were not scared to kill them off. Somewhat like GOT. So many of the mains got killed.

Banshee is one of my all time favorite shows, and I feel it's completely underrated.

Might actually do a rewatch because of this!

You're gonna get some hate here because of how over the top this show was.

But, it's one of my favorites and I've rewatched a few times.

The show has everything you could want

Hot women getting naked all of the time

Sex scenes in just about every episode.

Lot's of action. fighting, gun fights etc

Interesting Characters

Job
Burton
an Amish Gangster

Loved it. It worked in its own universe. Its basically a superhero show without magic powers. You just gotta chuckle at the silly stuff.

Bartender in the first episode had one of the best pair of tits I’ve ever seen. Love that show. It was funny seeing Homelander in that role since I had started watching The Boys before I saw Banshee.

I watched them in the opposite order. I like the Lucas Hood character a lot more than Homelander.

I know I watched, but I can't remember half the things you posted. Time for a rewatch binge.

Yep.

The fight scenes were graphic novel-esque, but they worked in the show.

Only thing more violent than the fight scenes were some of the sex scenes.

That chick Kat, tried ram Hood’s skull through his headboard once.

And then there was Lili Simmons.

Haveb't watched Banshee, but have been meaning to.

Will say this, without reading the OP to avoid spoilers, the claim of one of the best ever has a very high bar to meet with me.

IMO, Justified is possibly the greatest finale ever for a tv show. Everything about it was exactly what a finale should be. Every story arc got a conclusion, every character was given a believable and fitting sendoff while leaving them an opportunity for the future.

Everything that happened was true to the series and its characters.

Spoilers:

Although we all were waiting for and hoping for the final showdown between Raylan and Boyd, when the time finally came and the showdown didn't happen, you didn't feel cheated by that. It felt true to the characters that Boyd would surrender to Raylan instead of having a duel with him. And the last scene where Raylan visits Boyd to lie to him about Ava, they really managed to get across that these were two old friends.

"We dug coal together."

Who fricks her uncle.

Other things included in the show

Ukrainian crime boss
Skin heads
Biker gang
Satanists
Giant killer Indian
500 lb gangster

And.. Nola Longshadow

Great show and I didn’t mind the over the top stuff at all the show never pretended to be anything it wasn’t.

The only thing I ever questioned is how often Hood got his arse absolutely kicked and still won the fight and didn’t die or become crippled

I did appreciate that they at least showed him laid out in bed with ice and stitches afterwards

Yeah, the fight with the MMA guy was pretty brutal. He just shows that there are no rules in street fighting.

Oh and I forgot to mention the gay albino prison gang leader.

I watched this for the first time about a year ago.

Banshee is one of the most overly ridiculous and completely unbelievable shows of all time.

And I loved it.

The suspension of belief requirement is off the charts. But if you can get past that it’s fun as frick.

And props to the show for the continuous run of naked hot chicks. :hat tip:

I stopped somewhere in season 3 I think. The silliness of the plot became more than I could handle.

But I did love the gratuitous violence and nudity.

Maybe I'll revisit it?

And it’s weird because I borderline hated John Wicks past the first one. But loved Banshee.

And yeah, like someone said…having watched The Boys first, it’s weird as frick seeing Homelander playing Lucas. Like super weird.

But the show almost sort of works if you view Lucas as a powered down Homelander, who can’t fly, settling down and becoming sheriff in bumfrick nowhere.

So many great characters. Dont forget Job. There really is no explanation for him. Dude was awesome on that show. Great acting

Then the Mercs. Especially Colonel Douglas Stowe. Dude was a serious bad arse. Or as Job put it, he the the bad arse they send in to kill the other bad asses.

Dont forget the Amish turned gangster, Proctor. Dude ran shite.

Maybe it was her softness but Tanya Clark as Emily Lotus was just sexy as hell. She was very different than other chicks on that show

Then there was trashy Kat Moody in the first season. Chick was a rider nice and lean,.
