Saudi, and more importantly their Arab allies, are pissed about the blockade

Isn't the blockade only for Iranian Business?

Well, this USA blockade certainly took away the leverage Iran thought they had. Are you saying the Arabs used Iran as the bad cop while the rest of them played good cop?

No one gives a shite about what this mouthpiece says. Bin Salman on the other hand....

Correct. All other ships have free transit.

Sometimes the intended audience is the world, sometimes the intended audience is internal.
The house of Saud has a tenuous grip on power and does not want internal strife. They can’t be seen as cozying up to the west, so they have to sound “tough” in the open but talk differently behind closed doors.

This the way I understood it.
This Saudi A-Hole yapping about Trump not being able to protect The US and whining about the US not being able to protect the Saudis makes him look like a Clown IMO.

No doubt. They were perfectly happy to quietly send money and support to the regime in Iran until they caught some flak in the current conflict.

That sounds like a big picture comment. The end of an era…
So y’all want to disregard the Saudi Foreign Minister’s comments as meaningless bluster.

They have always hated Iran. The support they sent was a form of extortion, paid so that Iran would leave them alone.
The reason I was almost certain, when this conflict broke out, that the Iranian regime was finished, is that the Arab states that had been paying the Danegeld gathered behind America and vocally supported regime change. There is no going back from that.

The same ones who got butthurt when Trump suggested cease fire negotiations and said to keep the pressure on? Those guys? They're pissed? About a blockade that doesn't effect them in any way?

Saudi Arabia wanted to decouple itself from the Petrodollar. We's destroy anyone who thinks about weakening American hegemony. Economically and/or Militarily.

Well if you read the bottom you can see this was from 2024 and that the GBX made this up and it didn't happen.
