Finally. I will be shocked if Bruce shows up for the induction as he has said he wants nothing to do with the Hall. Now let's get Motorhead in.

Update- They will be in Australia on tour, so they are definitely not showing up to the ceremony. I will also bet there is no way Liam & Noel show up either. They will probably even laugh & curse at whoever voted for them.

The @rockhall Foundation have announced Iron Maiden as one of its inductees for 2026.

Quote from Rod Smallwood on behalf of Iron Maiden:

“We’d like to thank the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for including us (and former members who were all part of our story) in the 2026 roll call of inductees. Iron Maiden have always been about our relationship with our fans above anything else, including awards and industry accolades. However, having said that, it’s always nice to be recognised and honoured for any achievements within the music industry too!

It also seems appropriate for the band to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year as we continue our 50th anniversary celebrations with our Run For Your Lives World Tour visiting the Americas and beyond. We would also like to congratulate our fellow 2026 inductees and extend our gratitude as ever to our fans for their loyalty, perseverance and support for over 50 years now! See you all, somewhere on tour.”

I didn't like either of them. But they got in, so congrats to their fans. I was surprised New Edition didn't get in.

I wonder if Peter Hook will be performing with New Order or if that rift is too large. Ive been wanting to see Hook and the Light for years.

ETA: I just saw a post of Peter Hook thanking everyone and that he's looking forward to being there that night. Still not sure if he'll be playing with the band (hope so), but glad to know he'll be there.

You never know. The guys in Rush talked about the RnR HOF for years like they didn't care about it, it was a joke, etc. Then they get inducted and they were up there just gushing about the whole thing, all in with it.

If he doesn’t get Christian Bale to induct him, then what are we doing here?

I refuse to recognize that sham of an organization till Huey Lewis and the News are inducted.

That would be a reason to catch this ceremony, for sure..

Such a unique bass player and great band... I'm probably in the minority, but I prefer New Order... if for no other reason, than just a deeper catalog... Though I think Joy Division was the more influential of the two..

40 + years on and still sounds just as good...
