What do you think is the next steps or phases in choking them out

They usually do when you're dealing with people who pathologically negotiate in bad faith.

We should write off our losses as sunk costs and pull out. Nothing good is going to come out of blowing more crap up and escalating further. Destroying the world’s energy infrastructure would cause a significant global recession that could last for years.

The only thing that will get the Islamic Republic off of the quest for nukes and terrorism is complete regime change.

Follow the blueprint for what Obi Wan and Qui Gon did in the Phantom Menace or we can get back to America first and our domestic problems here.

Ok - how do you propose we do that and how much is it going to cost? If you war game the scenario, you will destroy the world’s energy infrastructure pretty much every time

Just like a tiger wanting to tuck their tail and slink away.
We need to finish off Iran's regime or otherwise we will be right back.

As opposed to another 20 year conflict like Afghanistan (that we didn't win, mind you)?

Since you never served our country in the military, as I have, you wouldn't understand the things we can do.

Why didn't we use them in Afghanistan?

Because the goal was never to win.

Same reason we didn't in Nam. People over here couldn't stomach it. America has put our military in action with hands behind our backs. I have had the opportunity to see multiple other Navy's and compared them to our Navy. Unchained it would be like a 5yr old fighter a mma champion.

Why will Iran be different?

Sure, in a conventional conflict. Nobody argues otherwise.
We are discussing regime change in a massive country of 90M with impossible terrain. Our Navy will be support at best.

Because we have a President that doesn't like losing. You and Trump have something in common. Egos. Difference is he earned his.

You clearly don't know how our military works. The Department of the Navy has its own ground forces that are the best in the world. They are called Marines.
