No photos of Yutes at this time.

The robots were described as “the future of delivery,” but the humans around them quickly began resenting the automated couriers. In late March, an Uber Eats delivery robot in Philadelphia’s Center City neighborhood was kicked multiple times.
The second time the autonomous delivery bot was kicked it toppled over, according to WPVI-TV, which noted that the people who attacked the robot put it on its wheels.
The kicking incident occurred just after another viral incident in which someone sat on one of the robots.

Not shocking. I remember the hitchhiking robot that made it all the way across Europe and then across Canada. When they brought it to the US, it started in New York and went offline in Philadelphia. They found it decapitated and stripped in a ditch in Philly

I remember that too. Philly is hell on friendly helpful robots.

The fatigue is real. And the libs are ok with it as long as they control that voting bloc.

They didn’t even have them in the bad parts of Philly.

I have a rather half baked theory about robotics that might come to fruition. In the short term they might be uninsurable assets.

Me too! It is basically a robotic oven that bakes cookies and other sweet treats on the way to your home. Baked fresh right out of the oven, right to your door!
*Oven mits not supplied by the company.

Dress anything up as Santa in Philly and it will simply not survive.

What a fricking joke. A weight on the neck of progress.

Laugh now.
But when we don't need 15,000,000 SPF sunscreen we will be glad these yutes were there.

Seems they should’ve rolled out this technology first in Idaho or Utah.
Just a gut feeling

They're everywhere and a nuisance. They might end up being a great idea like the CA high-speed rail was a great idea.

This is just a fraction of the mayhem to occur once drone deliveries become common.

There’s an alternate reality Terminator or the Matrix where the robots just examine simple statistics and react accordingly for the betterment of humanity and androids…..

Damn these things getting in the way. It's like people riding on scooters on the sidewalk expecting you to give them the right of way.
Though I did see one of these robots skeez out on a crosswalk. It was pretty funny for a few minutes, until someone came along and pushed it a few feet back on track.

hitchbot getting ripped apart in philly is seriously the funniest shite i've read in a long time. thank you for posting that
quote:
Hitchbot was found this weekend in Philadelphia, not yet having made it off the East Coast. His body was decapitated, and his arms were ripped off. He was last seen in this video by a video blogger known as BFvsGF (skip to 8:55), alive and well, answering questions about whether or not it needed a seatbelt (“yes”) or if it could ride in the backseat (“cool”). He was then left on the side of the street, ready to go onto DC.
