Yeah like he said Keenland and Bourbon Trail. Louisville Slugger and Churchill Downs in Louisville are great too. Goodfellas pizza was pretty good there

Just save a day to drive around the back roads thru the horse farms. Really beautiful! Visit Claiborne Farm just outside Paris KY, home of Secretariat. I was there 2 years ago and found a winding back road thru some amazing countryside. I must have taken 50 photos

Somewhat lengthy day trip, but if you have time check out Lincoln's original log cabin in Hodgenville and Stephen Foster's "Old Kentucky Home" in Bardstown. Still further afield is the Everly Brothers' boyhood home in Central City, on the vast Pennyrile Plateau, and the massive Mammoth Cave system near Bowling Green

Back in the '90's, I made the trip to the purple pants game. Great trip. Ugly uniforms. Keenland, the Bourbon Trail. I agree with the guys who are telling you to get off the beaten path around the horse farms. Beautiful. People were nice, but parking was PIA.
Enjoy.

to me and many others, it is the best road trip. we stayed in louisville and went to bourbon trail and keenland the morning of the game. the weather is usually perfect.

Who alive will ever forget that abomination? They didn't even have stripes, just a small round Tiger Head on the side.

That being said, an All-Purple uniform with helmet, jersey and pants stripes all synched up and matching would look pretty good. (In a SWACish sort of way)

I love the All-Caucasian uniform ( : ) but they (Kiffin & Head Equipment Manager) have got to get the helmet and pants stripes synched up and matching the jersey.

Old guy (me): LSU is a brand, wear "the" uniform. Their are only a few that comes to mind besides us...Alabama, Texas, Penn State. Wear the damn uniform.

Now i understand the players like to change up & it sure looks like Lane likes alternate uniforms.

Bottom line, I don't care if they wear "pinks & greens", as long as they win!
