Apparently it was also an issue at Arizona when his teams didn't make the postseason in 2018 and 2019.

Crazy how good we were last year especially in the infield. Braswell, Dickinson, Bear, and Milam.

Does Johnson not run enough fielding practice in the offseason, or is it the players he’s recruiting? Other than last year, his teams have been awful on defense

Dickinson was the guy who blew me away. I knew Braswell would be solid at 3rd and Milam was good.

Its the players he recruited this year, i think clauss and ruckert will be fine in time, but dardar, pearson, and yorke are all bad defensively

We took bats and power over fielding. None of these guys were considered good defensive players. They were however supposed to hit, which when they occasionally do, we win.

so every year he doesn't win the championship, the team is not as good as the championship years?

That’s the strange thing though, Yorke and Dardar weren’t this bad on defense on their previous teams.

His range was unreal and he had a rifle. He just threw it into the 10th row of the bleachers at times.

NIL aka name image likeness! Promotes individualism! It hollers LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME.....not teamwork! How any coach can build a winning team consistently under this ruling would be a miracle! Bring kids in from all over the damn country; never even walked the hallways of LSU! And yet...we want them to feel like the team and school spirit of old! We got nine players out there with LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME!!!

It’s called letting the pressure of wearing LSU across their chest being too much to handle for them. These portal guys are pressing way too hard and it’s killing them. Dardars dream his whole life was to play for LSU and now that his dream had finally came true he’s trying to be perfect and it’s causing him to screw up quite a bit.

Stupid observation. If the players are really focused on self, don't you think they want to display their better self and make routine plays which middle-school baseballers easily turn? Why would this team openly stink up the field and choose to lose?
