O line drafting, Lew or Dunker

If we were sitting at pick 73 with Dunker and Lew both on the board and we are looking to shore up the o line, which guy do you take. I'd take with Lew, who would you take and why?

Lew if we're looking for McCoy's eventual replacement, Dunker if we're looking to replace Ruiz

I'd probably favor Dunker, just because he's been playing tackle so might have some guard/tackle flexibility.

My favorite mock approach:
Trade with Miami
Saints give up 1st, 3rd, both 4ths, and a 5th
Miami give up 1st, 2nd, last 3rd (#90), and 4th
1. Rueben Bain (Tate and Downs still there)
2. Jermod McCoy (CB)
3. Chris Bell (WR)
4. Connor Lew (IOL)
5. Dontay Corleone (DT)
6. Nick Singleton (RB)
7. Whoever
Taking Tate instead of Bane, still end up with Tate, McCoy, Kayden McDonald, Lew, Sam Roush (TE), Singleton...

A big thing to me when I'm looking at this is Lew won't even be 21 til August 30th, he's 6'3.5 or so and 310, he can and will continue to develop physically and mentally for a couple more years. The next thing is the flexibility it gives us on the interior, we could let him start out at C and let McCoy take over at G or let him compete with Ruiz at Guard and train at C for when McCoy inevitably gets hurt

I like yours alot with the exception of Bain, I just think he has alot of bust potential going against NFL Tackles. I'd go with Downs there. I like the rest of it. I really like taking Singleton there with his homerun ability, I hope we get him

I reallywant Dunker. Think we will have to move up in the 3rd, late 2nd to get him. He can sit behind Ruiz and replace him next year. If McCoy gets hurt again, move Ruiz to center and Dunker can start.
If Fuaga gets hurt, he can slide to RT.

As an admittedly more casual observer than some, it blows my mind to think that Bell could be available that late. He looked like a beast when I watched him.

Given that Shough played with him, if he says go get him i believe we will take him at 42 if he's there 100%. The guy is 6'2 220 pounds and runs 4.4, that is elite, if not for the ACL he'd be in the mix for the top WR in the draft. Honestly it'd be like Christmas for us to be able to put him back with Shough

He’s not that explosively fast and coming off an injury. That’s likely to cause a big drop unless it’s a household name. It would be great if he dropped as I like him a lot.

Not necessarily advocating for Bain.. Just saying theres usually someone good sitting at 12 and then you have two 2nds - back to back - where you can usually get some combo of Bell + Lawrence, McCoy + Bell, etc.

Can they only pick those 2?

I used those two cause I've seen them ranked close on a big board, you could say Lew Vs any guard that you think would be available with our 3rd round pick

This looks confusing as frick. Should have put the actual Rds/ picks instead of 1-5. And #90 isn't the Dolphins last 3rd.
11. Bain (may not happen)
43. McCoy (definitely not going to happen)
42. Bell
94. Connor Lew (still might not be there)
130. Corleone (might not happen)
(#8 + #73) for (#11 + #42 + #94) is already close to fair.
Why the hell would we then give them pick #132 + #136 + #150 for #130 and let the dolphins keep their best 3 3rds? The only way that wouldn't suck is if we also get #90 and 3/4ths of the picks that make this look enticing aren't going to fall.

Its a mock draft website..
I make the move that gets accepted. If you don't think those guys will be there in the 2nd then obviously trading back to get two 2nds isnt good value.

We should just trade #136/ '27 1st/ '27 3rd or 4th for Dexter Lawrence.
Draft:
#8: Downs/ Delane
#42: Chris Bell
#73: BPA OL
#132: BPA
#150: BPA
#172: BPA
#190: BPA
If we get Dex and add those other 3 guys we can just go BPA for the rest of the draft.

I see what your saying, I just don't think he has the explosiveness for NFL Tackles. At 12 I'd look at McCoy if your sure about his progress with rehab. To be completely honest I'd rather a guy coming off ACL than a CB with hamstring issues like Lattimore. I'd be fine with your idea and try to get an Jacas from Illinois and Bell back to back at 42-43

Mccoy has been projected closer to #11 than #43 so that kinda blows the whole thing up. I don't hate the picks its just a little unrealistic and the 3rds/ 4ths traded don't make sense.
If we make a deal with MIA then give them our 2nd next year and both #132/#136 for #90/#94/ Brooks or #73/ Brooks.

I don't think that Lew will make it to 90, Hes 6'4 and 310 and still only 20 years old and is ready to start
