Interlock Device Issues

I have a smart start interlock and I am basically blacking out to provide a sample. Device also keeps rejecting samples and telling me to retry. Anyone have experience with this?

Get yer kid or wife to blow into it.
In all reality, something is the matter with you, or you're doing it wrong, or the device is faulty.
How do you blow? The interwebz says to use a "blow-hum" technique, "Smart Start devices often require a "blow-hum" technique (blow, then hum "whooo" until a click is heard)." It says people have a tendency to blow too hard all at once.
If you can't get your technique down, call whoever set you up with it. Failing that, get an appointment with your GP.

Don’t just breath, kind of hum into it at the same time so it sounds like a vuvusuela

Mouthpiece may be upside down. The 2 dots must be lined up.
And as others have said you have to give it a "hummer"

Call an uber, like you probably should have done on the day of the incident that caused you to have that device in your car in the first place...
I'm just kidding...
Sorry for your troubles. Maybe go buy an inflated birthday balloon or three from the grocery store and use those? Just shooting from the hip here...
ETA: I just realized you can't drive to the grocery store to buy inflated birthday balloons. My bad.
