I know everyone is excited about The General…but this is big boy basketball being played right now. LSU is so far away from this level that it is hard to see us getting to there anytime soon. Hope I am wrong.

I am not used to seeing basketball being played with this much intensity. Hopefully that will change.

McMahon pretty much decimated this program. The fact that he got a fourth year was borderline criminal. The idea that he would’ve gotten a 5th year is downright insane. Thank goodness Wade came to restore pride in this program that had pretty much flatlined at the hands of a totally incompetent coach.

But like it has been mentioned. You can have quick turnarounds these days. For the first time in four years, I’m actually hopeful in this program.

I read Wade expected to land all 5 Michigan starters in transfer portal and all might sign early tomorrow morning.

Never seen a Will Wade team play with the Defensive effort that Michigan is playing with in this tournament.

Curious how you believe McMahon squad would fare with effort. Those teams all super soft. Couldn’t be bothered to dive on the floor for a loose ball. Agreed this is next level grit, but Wade’s teams brought it 10x the soft product McMahon put on the floor.

I wish you would have made the post about Wade’s teams lack of effort two weeks ago so we could have hired Diusty May instead. Man we’re idiots!

It's not just the transfers. It's the style of basketball they both play. Both are very gritty, and play on the edge of illegal. Both play with nearly constant motion. Both are very well coached. The transfers helped stock the talent, and both teams are full of talented players.

Be happy he did. Wade wasn’t coming with Woody here

UConn's Reed left Michigan after that 8-24 season too.
The portal is great if you are a bad team and need players....but you still have to have a coach that knows what to do and how to use what you have.
