Guy from Baseball America says they have LSU as 1 of the last 2 seeds in going to the UCLA

Regional. Yikes. Mainly due to our terrible RPI. Will go up as we play more SEC teams, obviously. Ton more baseball left to be played.

That's really weird since last week BA had them as a 3 seed in the 14 regionals at West Virginia.
Don't think they would have dropped to last in for the 4 seed somewhere.

So going from a 3 seed to a 4 seed in the #1 regional (which is usually the worst team) is normal?

Even if they were talking about the last team in the field in general, they aren't talking about the worst team in the field. The last team in is an at large team. It's a mid tier 3 seed in most cases.

The baseball tournament doesn’t seed past 16, so the “last 2 seed” wouldn’t necessarily get paired with the top 1 seed by default

I believe they're seeding to 32 this year, for the first time.

Meh… this is like guessing at the bowl game for football in August.
If it entertains you, fine… but I’m not the least bit bit worried about it, currently.

This seems to be unnecessarily sarcastic. I was just saying where B.A. has us currently, but my main point was my final sentence that “there’s still a ton of baseball left to be played.”
And there appears to be a ton of parity in the middle of the SEC. We could easily play our way into hosting. We could even go on a huge heater and get a top 8 seed. But we could also play ourselves out of the tournament altogether. It should be really fun and competitive all the way through the end of the season.

Nobody is gonna want to see LSU in their regional as a 2 or 3 seed.
