Rabbit sauce piquant with boiled eggs in the gravy like we do with shrimp stew. No seersucker suit.

Is a seersucker suit acceptable for an evening wedding in New Orleans later this month? Or too soon?

Inappropriate to wear white to a wedding...unless you're the bride.

To the original question:

You can wear seersucker to a wedding, if starts on afternoon/early evening.

For women, yes. White linen suits are very appropriate for men in New Orleans.

Seersuckers are a deep south plantation/NOLA thing. I went to a one day oil conference in NOLA. The gay mannerisms sales guy for a NOLA hotel was the only one there wearing seersucker. Most everyone was from outside of NOLA.

Middle age to old folks alert!

We talking tan or blue?

Might have to see if the Madras plaid or rough silk still fit. Ladies loves this too until at least the 70's or 80's.

Lunch was a Tai noodle dish (mountain Tai, not city Tai) that was pretty good. Time for desert with some filtered water and natural sugar popsicles that eventually becomes a slushy (san the booze).
