Tennessee baseball is scum.

Pretty terrible for the program that invented college baseball and the pinnacle of the sport.

He took a nap on the baseline. If it were determined that he didn't have a concussion, I'd question the credentials of the doctor evaluating him.

Not at all! Take a bit for the brain to fully heal from a concussion. Especially when your an athlete trying to perform at high levels

From Jay after the game

quote:

LSU baseball freshman catcher Omar Serna was not diagnosed with a concussion, but he was not healthy enough to return to the game on Sunday, coach Jay Johnson said following the Tigers’ dramatic 16-6 win in 12 innings.

Serna exited the game after colliding with Tennessee center fielder Garrett Wright on a play at home plate in the third inning. He was eligible to return if LSU athletic trainer Isaac Trujillo had medically cleared him to play, but Trujillo didn’t believe he should return to the game, Johnson said.

Anyone hearing anything?

I haven't heard anything but it was pretty obvious he had a concussion yesterday. His lights went out for a few seconds after the collision.

Minimum amount of time to make it through a real concussion protocol is about a week, and that’s if there are no setbacks

Our perception of concussion recovery is distorted because the NFL somehow seems to fast track their guys through it

I agree but i did appreciate how Elander told him get in the dugout and genuinely had concern for Serna. He looked to be 100% out cold.

Yeah, it wasn’t a dirty play. It was unavoidable based on where the throw & runner was.
