Nobody wants to shoot you. This might be the luckiest man alive. Not the smartest, but he found the softest cops to deal with.

Cop dressed like a mercenary, with full sleeve tattoos, proceeds to be the biggest chump in existence.

So we’re just now finding out cops can’t actually do anything if you break the law? Cool! I’m off to the bank!

I watched the whole thing, all 14 minutes. If I were that cop, that dude would have been graveyard dead long before the one minute mark.

He found the one scenario out of 100 where someone probably should have been shot and wasn’t.

The cop wouldve been fully justified in shooting the guy.

Maybe the cop just wanted to exhaust all possibilities before killing the guy. Is that the worst thing in the world?

Even in a justified shooting some cops still live with regret and have trouble dealing with taking a life mentally.

I think the cop was 100% sure if the guy pulled he wouldnt have any trouble putting him down already being drawn on him.

Easy to say until that cop gets shot. The logical thing would be to not pull a gun on the police. Problem solved. One less criminal that you would have to try to turn into a victim using 4cubbies levels of mental gymnastics.

I didnt watch the whole thing but in the first few seconds the cop says they got a call for a man with a gun.

What law did that break such that they can detain the guy?

In the first 15 seconds he actively resists and says he would shoot the officer.

The first 15 flipping seconds. How much did you actually watch?

I don't agree with it. But when cops go around detaining people for no lawful reason and no repercussions for doing it, resistance is going to happen. And the more it happens the worse the resistance is going to be.

Again, going only by the fact that the guy just had a gun as the basis for the cop trying to detain the guy. That shouldn't be OK.

It was an active investigation. The police have every right to detain him as he was not complying with orders. This part has absolutely nothing to do with the gun itself. This is the law and if you don't like the law, you are more than welcome to try and get those laws changed.

That thinking gets you killed in a nanosecond. The guy had his gun in his hand. In takes all of one second for him to raise his gun and shoot. There isn’t anyway you would have time to put him down in time to keep him from getting off multiple shots.

So investigation is a magic cop word that lets them detain anyone?

You may think that and they sure as hell abuse it, but that's not the law.
