I went. Walking in just before daylight to where i wanted to set up i hear wings beating in a tree so I short stopped going to where i wanted to. Just as sun is coming up I see 2 birds about 70 yards off on a tree limb and another one in a separate tree. Once sun rises i realize its fricking buzzards . Of course at 7:20 my phone dings and theres a mature gobbler in the bean field where I planned to set up originally.

Went to Tensas where I saw a huge gobbler during deer season. Got to where he roosted then and three turkeys were hammering hard in the tree. Set up with my son on the gun and big boy flew down. Skirted us and he wouldn’t try it. I cussed a little but he learned a lesson - be ready and take a chance.
About 8:30 we were walking and saw a gobbler cross the road. Set up and soft called. He came in silently and met a TSS. Barely legal but tagged one. Showed the boy how it’s done - hopefully he’ll make it count tomorrow.

Was in the middle of it about the time of you starting the thread. Had a gobbler come strutting in with 2 hens, beard was dragging the ground. Never came close enough through a thick patch of trees.

Going to the same spot in the morning but gonna set up in a better spot
