I have two Minka Air outdoor ceiling fans that stopped working after 6 years and looking to replace them.
Anyone have suggestions on other fans ?
The Minka Air ones are good fans and cost more than others. Thought I should have gotten more than 6 years out of both of them for the price though.

I've had good luck with my outdoor Hunter fans. I'm not sure what "look" you're going for though either.
Minka Air does typically make good products though. Do you use them a lot and/or have they taken a beating over the last 6 years?

Every fan I've owned in the past 2 homes were from Lamps Plus.

I was using the Minka air fans a lot, but, wouldn't say they've taken a beating. Deep under a covered patio.
I am looking for something similar in look to the Minka air's.
When they worked they worked great, just think for the price i should have gotten a little more time out of them.

Hunter. They will outlive you. Don’t forget there are oil holes to lube them up once in awhile.
Going on 15 years with an outdoor pair. They look and run like brand new. And they have been running 24/7 except in the winter months.
The Speedqueens of the ceiling fan world.
There’s a big secondary market for used ones as well. They are tanks.

I've had $100 indoor fans from Home Depot (Hunter) last longer than that. Don't overthink it.

I have 2 Hunter fans on my back porch. Not sure how old they are, but I've been in the house 6 years and they were here when we moved in. Still working perfectly.

Yes the old cast iron hunter fans, properly maintained with synthetic blade replacements will happily live outdoors for decades. There are four of them in my house that are original to 1976 that run continuously 24/7 365.
Worth seeking out

What broke? They come with a lifetime motor warranty

I have had a craftmade and a quorum 72” fans. The quorum was a better fan but the craftmade moves more air. I wouldn’t recommend either.

We are getting power to the fan, just not turning on. Problem with the warranty is i can't find where i originally bought it from or the receipt. Looks like when i checked you could only return it to the original dealer or direct with proof of purchase (which i don't have).

Wha went wrong with them? Mine have been fine for five years. If it’s motor drivers or something like that the I guess I’ll have a project in my hands. Would have to add some features though.

Also, Minka Aire sent me new receivers that I just got yesterday. They didn't ask me for proof of purchase but did ask for the serial #s which I took a pic with my phone. But...I did have the email from Home Depot if they asked.

I have a Minka air on our patio.
It crapped the bed a couple of years ago. The motor is attached to the fan blades with 4 small tack welds. They failed and it will spin but very slow and very noisy.
It's a bad design. Minka wouldn't help when I called them about it. At the time I had it for around 3-4 yrs.
Too much money for it to break like that. I may try to take it apart to see if I can get 2-3 small screws in it to hold the pieces together.
